Softball Hitting Contest

Each participant in the derby will get ten pitches in the first round, and the top hitters with the most points will move on to the finals. The final BANGERS will face off head to head to compete for the Softball Hitting Championship!

  • Round 1 – All Hitters
  • Final Round – # TBD (Varies by tournament)

NOTE: Just like the MLB Home Run Derby, each team should supply their own pitcher. Work together ahead of time to find out where your launch zone is, have your pitcher feed it, and watch balls fly! Each hitter will receive ONLY TEN PITCHES, regardless if they swing or not...therefore, it is important that you find a pitcher who can groove it in the strike zone consistently.

Each teams four players will be totaled together.  Subsequently, each team will be ranked 1-36 and assigned their corresponding team points.

SCORING BREAKDOWN:

  • 10 Points – Home Runs
  • 8 Points-Ground rule doubles, & shots off the fence
  • 4 Points - Balls that fall within the shallow grids

TIEBREAKER RULES FOR HITTING CONTEST

  • Each rounds total stands on its own (it is not cumulative)
  • Top hitters will advance to THE FINAL ROUND...If we have a tie there will be a 5-pitch hit off to decide who goes to the finals.
  • The finals will be a head to head format and each hitter will receive 10 pitches per round.

Basketball Shooting Contest

Shooters will have 60 seconds to take four shots from each of five stations around the 3-point arc (20 total shots).  The distance will remain the old NCAA distance of 19 feet 9 inches.

  • Round 1 – All participants
  • Round 2 – TBD
  • Final Round – Elite 8

All 4 team members shoot, each player will be ranked individually from 1-144.  Each teams four players will be totaled together.  Subsequently, each team will be ranked 1-36 and assigned their corresponding team points.

TIEBREAKER RULES FOR THE BASKETBALL SHOOTOUT

  • Each rounds total stands on its own (it is not cumulative)
  • In the event of a tie in round 2 or the final rounds - to determine the final rank, we will revert back to the results of round 1 & 2 for a tiebreaker.
  • The final 8 will compete in a head to head format.

18 Hole Golf Scramble

All players will play the best individual shot (best tee ball, best second shot, etc.) from tee to green to determine the team score. There is a 2 put maximum once a team reaches the green (ex. if you are on the green in 2, the worst score your team can get is a 4).  Teams will be ranked following the golf event, with the lowest team score receiving first place. Each team is ranked from 1-36 and assigned their respective team points

There will be a time limit of 16 minutes per hole - to ensure we are able to complete a full round in approximately 5 hours. If one team is dragging behind – we will give them ONE WARNING, if they are still playing slow we will require them to skip a hole – thus, resulting in the highest score on the skipped hole. (If the worst score on that hole was an 8 – that is the score you will receive – its tough luck, so don't play slow! There will be no time searching for lost balls!) Two foursomes will play the same hole.

Texas Hold 'Em

All 4 team members will compete in the Poker tournament. Each player will be ranked from 1-144. All 4 team members' order of finish will be added up, and each TEAM will be ranked 1-36 and assigned their respective team points.

The tournament will be World Series of Poker style, where the tables will be combined as players are eliminated until there is just on man standing!
